Molar spreaders are used to loosen the periodontal ligament and hence the tooth through applying it to the interdental space.
The varying jaw thickness enables different spreading effects.
The different sizes of spreader influence very positively the success rate of the extractors.
– Molar spreader No. 1 – thickness 4 mm – Narrow (Maxillary)
– Molar spreader No. 2 – thickness 5 mm – Medium (Upper jaw and mandibular)
– Molar spreader No. 3 – thickness 6 mm – Wide (Maxillary and mandibular)
