Fractures of the incisors, as well as the rostral mandible and maxilla, are relatively common in the equine patient. They often result from trauma and play behaviour, and appear over represented in younger animals. Avulsion fractures of the incisors and osseous fractures of the rostral mandible and maxillae are often repaired using intra-oral wiring techniques, following careful examination, lavage and debridement. Treatment of clinical and reserve crown incisors fractures will depend upon the location of the fracture in relation to the endodontic system of the tooth. Careful examination and diagnostic imaging is, therefore, essential in these cases. Treatment options can include extraction and endodontic therapy.
Participants to the webinar will receive an attendance certificate. If you’re not able to attend the live webinar, you will receive the link of the recording 7 days later to watch it on-demand.
